About Us
Off-Centre Stages is a new theatre group forming in Hunterdon County. “Off-Centre” represents our belief that it’s time to revisit the drawing board and rethink what traditional theatre is and can be. We are now actively fundraising and hosting special events to raise the necessary capital so that we can establish a non-profit organization and realize our goal of bringing innovative, immersive, and experimental theatre to the area.
Our Vision
Our vision is to serve the community by presenting plays and musicals, immersive shows, hosting events, classes and workshops, and creating a Youth Company, all with the hope to bring the community closer together. Creativity will always stand at the forefront of our productions. For example, we envision our Youth Company will hold the agency to create their own shows and have the support needed to become who they are, without expectations.
Our Mission
We strive to create opportunities for people of all ages to benefit from the many positives that come from participating in and experiencing theatre, and provide a place for anyone to be involved in any capacity, in front of the curtain or or behind. Our objective is to expand what theatre is and can be, and go beyond the typical to overcome traditional casting practices and to include immersive experiences, digital content, workshops, classes and more.
