We strive to create theater opportunities within the local community for everyone.
We believe in the benefits that come from participating in and experiencing theatre, and in the importance of providing a place for anyone to be involved in any capacity, in front of the curtain or or behind.
Our objective is to expand what theatre is and can be, and go beyond the typical to overcome traditional casting and theater practices.

Madelyn Seltzer
Founder, President & Resident Music Director
Maddy is the proud Vocal Music Director at Steinert High School in Hamilton, New Jersey, where she music directs the choirs, the Spartones and East Sharps A Cappella groups, and the school musical every year.
She graduated from TCNJ in 2018, where she completed her undergraduate studies in music education. Outside of school, she is a part of Christmas Matters Holiday Carolers, music director for the Ridge HS musical, and a founder of the community theater group Off-Centre Stages.
Jonathan is a director, producer, and intimacy professional from South Jersey. His work as a freelance director has been featured throughout the tristate area at locations like The University of Pennsylvania and The College of New Jersey. He is thrilled to join the Board of Off-Centre Stages after directing their productions of Into the Woods and Company.
Additional directing credits include: Sweeney Todd, Fiddler on the Roof, Significant Other, Legally Blonde, Rent, If/Then, Xanadu, Stop Kiss, Proof, and Funny Girl. His work is conceptual, modern, and rooted in textual analysis and world building. Training: Arden Theatre Company’s Professional Apprentice Program and Theatrical Intimacy Educators. He is also an Adjudicator for Papermill Playhouse’s Rising Star Awards. Treasurer & Resident Director
Jonathan Edmondson
Abigail Acolia
Abbey has been involved in the arts for more than 20 years, beginning as a Tap, Ballet, and Jazz dancer and spending over a decade training and performing. Along the way, she discovered she was just as fulfilled behind the scenes as she was onstage, leading her to discover her love for technical theatre.
Today, as Off-Centre’s Secretary and Resident Stage Manager, Abbey combines her passion for theatre with her love of business, which she is currently studying at Johns Hopkins University. Her stage management credits include Company, She Loves Me, Jekyll & Hyde, If/Then, and two college productions: Desires of a Criminal: A Devised Theatrical Collage and The Romantics: A Devised Performative Collage. Outside of theatre, Abbey also dabbles in photography and explores different artistic mediums, but most of all, she loves spending time with her daughter, Erin.
She is so grateful to be part of a team and community that encourages creativity, embraces collaboration, and brings people together through the arts.
Secretary & Resident Stage Manager
Mary Hill
Mary is a high school English and drama teacher who brings her deep love for storytelling and live theatre to the board of Off-Centre Stages. Equally at home under the stage lights as she is working behind the scenes, Mary manages the company’s social media presence and email marketing channels to keep audiences connected and engaged.
Whether she is performing, guiding students, or building community support from off-stage, she is dedicated to fostering welcoming and dynamic local theatre that challenges all people to experience art in different ways.
Director of Marketing
Bryan Hill
Bryan serves as Technical Director for Off Centre Stages, bringing together a love of creative problem-solving, construction, and community service. After assisting with set construction on several productions, he was drawn to the challenge of taking a director’s idea, sketch, or conversation and turning it into a physical world for performers and audiences.
Some of Bryan’s favorite parts of theater happen long before the curtain rises: collaborating with directors, designers, lighting and sound engineers, and volunteers, then watching those individual pieces come together for the cast to bring to life.
Outside the theater, Bryan is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiology. He has also spent more than a decade serving his local community through emergency services and volunteer roles in health, human services, and education. For Bryan, community theater is another way to serve by supporting the arts, creating something tangible, and helping bring people together.
Resident Technical Director
Jermaine Terry
Jermaine Terry is a New Jersey-based actor and vocalist with a background spanning musical theatre, live music, and professional vocal performance. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and was selected for special assignment as Musical Director of the 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus, performing for military and civilian audiences around the world.
Following his military service, Jermaine continued his passion for performing through musical theatre and live music. Outside of theatre, he works for the USO, a nonprofit organization supporting U.S. service members and their families, where he represents the organization throughout New Jersey and works closely with the military and local community.
From the military to the stage and his work with the USO, Jermaine's journey continues to be rooted in service, music, and storytelling.
Fundraising Chair
Samantha Dobron
Samantha Dobron is a member-at-large and Resident Choreographer with Off-Centre Stages, where she has choreographed numerous productions and directed She Loves Me. A second-grade teacher by day, Samantha also choreographs for Steinert High School, with credits including Seussical, Mean Girls, The Little Mermaid, and A Chorus Line. Her performing credits include Cinderella in Into the Woods, Lauren in Kinky Boots, and Carol King/Betty in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Samantha is passionate about storytelling through choreography, performance, and collaboration.
